ESTABLISHING
SPECIAL WEIGHT LIMITS ON
STATE OF WISCONSIN
Town of Stanton
Dunn County
The Town Board of the Town of Stanton, Dunn County,
Wisconsin, has the specific authority under s.349.16, Wis. Stats., to adopt
this ordinance.
The Town Board of the Town of Stanton, by this ordinance,
adopted on proper notice with a quorum and by a roll call vote by the majority
of the town board present and voting, provides the authority for the town to
establish special or seasonal weight limits as follows:
- The following special seasonal weight limits shall be
effective for the periods stated below on all Town of Stanton town
highways, which are declared to be class “B” highways under s 349.15 (2),
Wis. Stats., for a weight restriction of 30,000 pounds. No thru traffic
is allowed without a permit with the exception of the town truck and
residents that live on the named roads, to be put in effect in conjunction
with the seasonal weight limits established by the Dunn County Highway
Department. The seasonal weight limit restriction shall be removed in
conjunction with the seasonal weight limit restriction removal established
by the Dunn County Highway Department. - The town chairperson, or his or her designee shall erect
signs as required under s. 349.16 (2), Wis. Stats., during the seasonal
weight limit restriction period. - No person may operate any vehicle on the above-noted
highways, in violation of the above-noted weight limits, without a written
permit issued by the Town Board of the Town of Stanton. Any violation
shall be subject to penalties under s. 348.21, Wis. Stats.
This ordinance is effective on ___________________.
The town clerk shall properly post and publish this
ordinance as required under s. 60.80, Wis. Stats.
