Maintenance Report: Knapp will go half on the shared road, they just need to approve it at their next meeting.
Karl and Kevin met with Sherman Chairman and Patrolman, they own 580’ of 290th that we have always just maintained. Kevin suggested we split the road that we share with them every other year on maintenance and plowing. We currently only charge them $30/time, which doesn’t even cover gas. We would split any cost for gravel if needed.
Chairman Report: Received the estimates from Dunn County for the road work we need done.
280th – roughly $67,000 2” overlay
$21,970 for chip sealing
190th hill $12,873 (we would only be paying half as Knapp owns part of this)
Spraying total from Dunn County for all of our township would be approximately $3500. Board would like to do this as it would save quite a bit just in gas from Kevin going out to brush mow.
Motion to approve to proceed with these projects as estimated along with the spraying was made by N. Schaff, 2nd by M. Schutz. Approved.
Karl spoke with Jason Spaetz, Dunn County Emergency Operations. We last updated our plan in 5/21/2014. Karl will email a template to the board members from Jason that would be more up to date and see about tweaking ours and be able to send to Dunn County. The county would come do a table top exercise and let us know what they would recommend.
Karl is suggesting we allow Kevin to purchase a Milwaukee impact with charger, batteries for use at the shop as he is currently using his personal tools.
Kevin will check on prices and see what deals they have.
Supervisors Report: Melissa is working on website info.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Resident called and asked who she should contact to get rid of some cats, she had called Dunn Co. Humane Society, they told her to call Dedicated Animal Control, he told her we didn’t have a contract with him. I called him, got it straightened out, he will send us a contract to sign, and he is going to get in touch with the resident.
Building Permits: None
Committee Reports: No action on fire or ambulance districts.
New Business: Discussion of Emergency Operations Plan-see Chairman report above.
Update ordinance to reflect wet township referendum. Melissa did a lot of looking around at other townships and drafted a sample ordinance.
In talking to the lady at the state level she wanted to make sure we knew the Town of Stanton is only being granted 1 reserve license, which has a cost of $10,000.
Motion was made to adopt the ordinance by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by N. Schaff. Approved.
Karl will call the WTA attorney and ask them to look over this ordinance to make sure our bases are covered. Karl will also call Tim Stauffer.
Fire Inspection Ordinance-Nick talked to Kyle Holden, our town shop is the only place in Stanton the fire department inspects. They would like us to sign the ordinance to say we only need 1 inspection per year instead of 2. Nick will draft the ordinance to reflect what we need and we’ll sign it at next month’s meeting.
Public Comment: None
Motion to adjourn was made by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by M. Schutz. Approved.
Meeting adjourned at 7:20pm
