Board meeting minutes of March 18, 2025

Chairman Nielsen called the meeting to order at 6pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.

Present:  Chairman Nielsen, Supervisors Karl Hackbarth and Stephanie May, Maintenance Kevin Finder, Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor, residents Nick Schaff and Lynn Smith (Sherman township)

Pledge of Allegiance

Motion to approve February 18, 2025 minutes as written was made by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by S. May.  Approved.

Treasurer’s Report:             Balance on hand, February 1, 2025                 $34,010.54

February Receipts                                             $685,576.54

Less February Disbursements                         $645,905.12

Book balance as of February 28, 2025            $73,710.76

Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by S. May. Approved.

Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by S. Nielsen.  Approved.

Maintenance Report:  Issued a driveway permit for Bob Thatcher’s old place, the person wants to put a shed there.

Roll off day will be set for April 26th.

Road Inspection will be decided on after Nick verifies his work schedule.

 

Chairman Report: Some discussion on the new truck payment.  We would like to continue to set aside money every year in the equipment fund as well as make the annual loan payment.

Steve had a friend who had truck chains for sale (brand new), they were $300.

Supervisors Report: This is Stephanie’s last meeting, she said she is willing to be on the Plan Commission if needed.

Clerk-Treasurer Report:  Next month we will have the Annual Report in our meeting.

Election will be April 1st.

 

Building Permit:  Stalker house is coming along.

Committee Reports: Fire and Ambulance meetings were this past month.  Fire is going over their code of conduct.  Some discussion on the differences between Ambulance and Fire codes of conduct.

No New Business

Public Comment:  Lynn Smith would like to thank Kevin for patching the culvert by his sons place.  He also asked if anyone in our township was without broadband.  We are unaware of anyone being without.  Steve suggested Lynn go to 24-7 and talk to them.
