Board Meeting minutes of November 19, 2024
Chairman Nielsen called the meeting to order at 6pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.
Present: Chairman Nielsen, Supervisors Karl Hackbarth and Stephanie May, Maintenance Kevin Finder, Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor

Motion to approve October 28, 2024 minutes as written was made by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand October 1, 2024 $57,693.73
October Receipts $25,434.30
Less October Disbursements $49,971.42
Balance as of October 31, 2024 $33,156.61
Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by S. Nielsen, S. May. Approved.
Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by S. May. Approved.
Maintenance Report: Having an issue with a resident putting in garbage in the recycling. Kevin stopped and talked to them, she said she must’ve made a mistake. Kevin has seen it again; Val will send them a letter to let them know exactly what should go in recycling. Then if it happens again, we will send them a bill with a fine.
Dunn County Hwy. called Kevin, they are having a hard time finding truck chains, if we end up with an ice storm, Kevin may have trouble getting them.
Kevin contacted the sewer people to get the shop pumped, he has called several times, no one has shown up yet. Kevin will wait a little longer before deciding who else to call.
Chairman Report: New dump truck is supposed to be built next month. Steve will be going to talk with Bremer Bank.
Supervisors Report: Some discussion on Wedam and the boom mowing he did and what we may want to do for next year.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Election went very well, no problems at all. We were randomly selected by the WI Elections Commission to complete an equipment audit. This basically consists of hand counting 4 different races. Shirley, Carla and I will be meeting at the town shop this Friday at 10am to complete this audit. Val will then submit the results to the Election Commission.
No Building Permits
Committee Reports: Ambulance is doing well, financials went out this past week. Ambulance coverage was at 100%. Fire meetings have been quite numerous as of late. Meeting last night went well and everyone was quite cordial. They will be opening sealed applications on Thursday for a fire chief. The appointed interim chief has agreed to stay in that position until someone is hired and trained.

BUDGET HEARING
Chairman Neilsen called the budget hearing to order at 7:06pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.
Present: Chairman Nielsen, Supervisors Karl Hackbarth and Stephanie May, Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor and Maintenance Kevin Finder.
Went over line items of the 2025 Preliminary Budget. A few questions asked and answered.
Motion to approve the 2025 Budget as presented was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by S. May. Approved.
Motion to adjourn budget hearing was made by K. Hackbarth, 2nd by S. May. Approved.
