Board meeting minutes of January 15, 2024
Chairman Nielsen called the meeting to order at 6pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.
Present: Chairman Nielsen, Supervisors Karl Hackbarth and Stephanie May, Patrolman Kevin Finder and Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor

Motion to approve December 18, 2023 minutes as written was made by S. May, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand December 1, 2023 $61,392.92
December Receipts $1,117.15
Less December Disbursements $21,760.49
Book Balance as of December 31, 2023 $40,749.58
Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by S. May. Approved.
Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by S. May. Approved.
Maintenance Report: 950th Street, 24-7 hit the drain tile and is shooting water out of the ditch. Hopefully it’ll continue through the culvert and will be ok. We will check on it in the Spring. We will call and see who is responsible for getting this repaired.
Kevin will take the truck in again to Cameron as the check engine light is back on. The wipers won’t stay on either.
Cameras watching the dump site seem to be working to keep the garbage and recycling in order.
Chairman Report: Have had to explain to a few about the plastics in the recycling. Should only be #1 and #2’s.
Supervisors Report: Meg Wittenmeyer asked Stephanie to sign a holding tank permit, she did.
Dunn County Unit Town’s association meeting is on Monday, January 29. Karl and Stephanie will both be going.
Board of Review meetings held virtually on Monday, April 1st 9am-11:30am. Val will get the board members signed up.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Open Book date is set for Wednesday, April 17, 2024 1:30-3:30pm and Board of Review is set for Thursday, May 9, 2024 6:30-8:30pm. Both at the town shop.
Election is February 20th only for the Menomonie School Board.
Building Permits: Josh Edhlund, Tom Traxler, Colby Dotseth, Dan Schlottman, Larry Grieb and William Manwarren

Public Comment: none
New Business: Fundraiser is a non issue.
Kevin’s contract for January 1, 2024-December 31, 2026. A few questions on the wording of comp time and the usage of sick time. Percentage increase of 4% per year.
Motion was made S. Nielsen by 2nd S. May by to increase Kevin’s wages 4% each year for 3 years. Approved.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by K. Hackbarth. Approved.
