Maintenance Report: First round of 150th Street is done.  Pulverizing and culverts are next.  The Loose Gravel signs have been stolen, Kevin will order more.

Started mowing, and the tractor broke down.  Got it to John Deere, they got it in and fixed it right away.

Universal was here and we are looking at approximately 2 1/2 years to get a new truck.  They won’t give a set price as they don’t know what the prices will be.  We don’t need one right now, just wondered if we should get “on the list” so it’s here when we do need it.  The majority of people are going for International; truck price (right now) is about $220,000 for everything we’d need.  Kevin will try to set up a meeting with Universal to show us books/ideas of pricing.

Chairman Report:  24-7 says it will probably be around November before anyone will be hooked up.  Steve has been talking with Anne (Dunn County Planner/Zoning Administrator) about Tim Stauffer’s venues.  (see Clerk-Treasurer Report) It sounds like its not just the guest lists that will increase.  Tim would like to add concerts and some other special events in addition to weddings.  When Tim reapplies he would need to come before the town board again as well.  We will find out more of his plans at that time.

Supervisors Report:  Steve and Karl went to the County Board meeting concerning the ATV/UTV laws.  The County did pass the ordinance.

Clerk-Treasurer Report: Received a letter regarding Tim Stauffer’s wedding venues.  He originally applied for a campground and venue for up to 300 guests. He would like to modify this to accommodate 300-500 guests.  The county is basically just letting us know and if we have concerns to let them know.  The County meeting is tonight. If Tim wants to do any changes other than max. guests it  sounds like he’ll   need to reapply at the county level.

Building Permits:  Josh Edhlund-new home-site work complete; Tom Traxler-new home-slow progress, not started; Michael Nelson-has applied to build a deck, hasn’t started yet

Committee Reports:  Fire and Ambulance meeting was this past Wednesday.  New fire chief and new clerk-treasurer are getting used to the positions.  Things seem to be going alright.

Ambulance is doing well.  They’ve had 99% coverage in both May and June.  The Wheeler VFW gave a certificate to Desirae Larsen for her outstanding work within the community.

Public Comment: Tim Stauffer is here to discuss the number change of people from 300 to 300-500.  Boyceville Fire Dept. was at Stauffer’s to look at capacity for fire code.  The Stauffers just came from the County Meeting, they approved the campground, but are waiting for the town’s recommendations on the number of people change before approving it.  This would apply for any event under the agricultural land use.  Next month we can put it on our agenda, this will give us a chance to look over everything.

Motion to adjourn meeting was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by S. May.  Approved.

Meeting adjourned at 7:40pm
