Maintenance Report: Roll off is scheduled for October 1st. Dennis Duval and his son will be here to help with that. Sears in Menomonie is going out of business and that is our resource for getting rid of appliances from roll off. Karl will find out when their last day of business is and Steve will do some checking on where else we could take the appliances. Tires seem to be everywhere in our township, we will probably see an influx on roll off. Bridge on 130th Street is complete. Complaint on a driver coming too fast on 770th up to the residents driveway. The resident asked about a road sign to be put up. Dunn County called, they are going to be ready for us to haul salt/sand October 1st. Kevin will need help hauling it, and is wondering if we can use DKS for the help. The board is ok with Kevin asking DKS.
Chairman Report: Received a few calls about Building Permits. He gives them Joe Atwood’s number. Also received the Road report that he and Kevin will fill out and get submitted. Also a salt shed report they’ll look at.
Supervisors Report: None
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Val got the preliminary budget done, we will go over this after new business.
Committee Reports: Fire and Ambulance meetings had preliminary budget paperwork handed out. Some discussion on the ambulance board decision to pay those coming in to help out with calls when they weren’t scheduled, they will be compensated a 3hr. minimum retro active to the first of the year.
Budgets went up significantly for Ambulance and Fire. There are so many variables on prices going up.
Building Permits: None
Public Comment: None
New Business: Spectrum is here for discussion on burying the lines. Pat Anderson is here as their construction head. There lines are pretty much buried. Charter put up most of the capital for building this up in our area. Steve told Spectrum they are required to have permits. We have given 24-7 full rights for the fiber lines being buried. Spectrum stated it is not their policy to do work within a township without letting them know, that was an oversight on their part. Spectrum also stated they would be willing to work with 24-7 when it comes to being in the same area. They will not be proceeding until they have the permits needed. Spectrum will get us the needed info before our October meeting and will also get in touch with 24-7 to get their maps to see where they will be and when.
24-7 is not here tonight.
Went over line items in the preliminary budget. The Budget Hearing will be November 21, 2022, where the budget will be voted on and approved.
Motion to meeting was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by S. May. Approved.
Meeting adjourned at 8:11pm
