New Business:
Discuss and possibly act on saying Pledge of Allegiance before each meeting. Comment was made that we love the country and township we live in, but haven’t done the Pledge of Allegiance since grade school. Tim stated he has gone to 3 other village/town meetings and they all say the Pledge. Tim believes it is very important. Comment was made that it will neither help or hurt our town meetings. One person believes it will be appreciated by the majority of people who come and hear it. Another stated it is said at many meetings and she believes it brings unity and a good way to start. Motion was made to say the Pledge of Allegiance before every meeting by B. Anderson, 2nd by K. Hackbarth. Approved.
Appoint and Swear in Plan Commission members: Karl Hackbarth, Candy Anderson (chair), Mona Finder and Tim Mittlestadt (not present is Stephanie May)
Discuss and possibly act on 2nd Amendment Sanctuary resolution. Jim Chich and Tony Pember are here to read to us the proposed resolution. Their goal is to have every township in Dunn County sign this resolution. The board would like to look into this resolution in detail before signing.
Trempalo County has signed this resolution as well as Chippewa County.
We will put this on the June agenda for discussion and possible action.
