Maintenance Report: Few residents dumping garbage in the dumpster without Stanton bags. Val will bill them.
Chairman Report: TRIP application is not working properly for Bob to enter the info. Val will try to see what I can figure out. Bob and Kevin are meeting with Dustin for an LRIP informational meeting on Sept. 25th. Paser ratings went out and Kevin will go thru this and decide which roads need the most work.
Supervisor Reports: Karl was wondering about the ATV/UTV trail signage, if he needs to sign off on something or what. The County Association meeting made it sound like they would shut down trails if this signage wasn’t done. Karl will check into what we need to do or post so we will be compliant.
Due to last months meeting, the board would like to make residents aware there has been some illegal activity in our township. Sherriff Deputy asked residents to please lock all vehicles, homes, ect. And if someone sees any suspicious activity, please call the police to make them aware.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Val went to an election meeting concerning new equipment having to be purchased by 2022. Our current equipment is being phased out and the company will no longer maintain or support it. We will be required to go with whatever the county ultimately decides. As of right now, it looks like they’ll go with Command Central and we will have to purchase one ICE machine. It is very similar to the Edge machine we currently have. This machine will cost approximately $10,000 which we will have two budget cycles to get this money.
Committee Reports: Fire/Ambulance: Our portion of the new fire truck will be approximately $54,000, which we will have 10 years to payoff. Last fire district meeting went well. Move in is expected to be around Thanksgiving. Next meeting for Fire/Ambulance will be October 16th.
Plan Commission: Reappointments need to be done. We will do this in October.
